During this holiday season, let’s not forget the men and women who sacrificed so much for our country.
“Workin’ On,” a powerful 12-minute mini-movie featuring Colt Ford’s hit song, shines a spotlight on one of the biggest health crises facing soldiers returning from deployment: post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, which affects 20 percent of all soldiers deployed within the last six years. The video version of “Workin’ On” featuring both Colt Ford and retired U.S. Navy Seal, Marcus Luttrell, has garnered nearly 2 million views raising much-needed awareness of this life-altering condition.
“There’s men and women that are suffering and struggling with PTSD, that have given everything for us to be able to have the freedoms that we do. And because we can’t see it, a lot of times it goes unnoticed,” he continues. “So, I just wanted to try and make as big a deal of it as possible, so we can get some help.”
The mini-movie premiered this past summer at the NRA Convention in Nashville and is now being released for the first time to the general public.
